my interface has the ability to be a 4x4 in/out, but only in 16bit mode (that's how i've read it anyways. I'm using a fast track pro, and so far i've only used the main outputs 1-2, and i'm curiously looking into expanding my knowledge on mapping multi instruments. That brings me to my one and only question (so thanks for reading so far!):Īre you going through an audio interface? using core audio/ audio-midi setup? etc etc?

So i may install just the DAW's to have the ability to sync with others live.
I play live with a few different groups and some use Ableton and/or Logic to beat sync (for live electronic music mostly). I love mainstage, and want to continue building patches and sets through Mainstage, and the new sounds and technology in Machfive 3 combined with everything in Mainstage is all i'm planning to use.

On another note I've just earned myself a used macbook pro 2008 w/ 4gb RAM and a 7200rpm HD, and i've bought the 2.2 update for my new/used laptop, and was gonna experiment with having only Mainstage 2.2, and Machfive 3 on the mac, as my live performance rig. To keep this short, i'll just say that its good to hear some good feedback, as a lot of people have been hating on the new update for the $charge$. before the last 2.1.3 update, i did suffer from quite a few instances of the sustain pedal locking up when using multiple string patches, and of course B3 (and yes i know an Organ doesn't truly have a sustain, but i come from the hardware synth world, so don't hate hahahaha). i've been using 2.1.3 on my macbook 13" upgraded to a 500gb 7200rpm HD with 4 gb RAM, and i've managed to get away with layering quite a few software instruments together per patch. * Corrects various problems in MainStage 2.2 with non-English localizations. * Resolves an issue where the bottom of some plug-in screens were not accessible on 11” MacBook Air when the plug-in was opened in Controls View.
